Arts Northern Rivers is coming to a town near you!
“Stepping Stones” is a marketing project designed to enhance the profile of Indigenous artists of the Northern Rivers region.We would like to help you photograph your artwork, interview you and if you like, take a photograph of you. We’ll then help you write a professional biography and portfolio to help you promote your artwork to galleries and buyers. Information collected will be put together as a marketing package for the artist, will be added to our website and used to promote Northern Rivers Indigenous Artists nationally.

The year of The Apology is a landmark exhibition for Indigenous artists in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. Artwork featured has a personal reference to Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s Apology to the Stolen Generation, on behalf of the newly elected Labour Government, on the 13th February 2008, and to the theme of reconciliation within Australia.
The exhibition includes artwork from over 50 Indigenous artists from the Northern Rivers. Frances Belle Parker, a local artist herself, has curated this exhibition as part of her new role as Indigenous Arts Development Officer for Arts Northern Rivers.
